Investment Criteria

Is Your Business
a Good Fit?

We look for well-run family businesses with proven track records, loyal customers, and owners who care about what happens next. Here’s exactly what we look for.

What We Look For

Our Investment Criteria

If your business meets most of these criteria, we’d love to talk. You don’t need to check every box — we evaluate each situation on its own merits.

  • Geography: Family-owned or founder-led businesses across the United States
  • Revenue: Annual revenue of $2M–$20M with positive EBITDA and a track record of profitability
  • Industries: Skilled trade and blue-collar businesses — home services, plumbing, HVAC, foundation services, garage doors, restoration, environmental, staffing, and more
  • Ownership Situation: Owner approaching retirement, seeking liquidity, or ready to plan a thoughtful succession
  • Business Characteristics: Established operations, loyal repeat customers, and some form of niche market position or differentiation
  • Team: Capable employees who know the business well and can continue to run it effectively post-acquisition
  • Deal Types: Open to buyouts, recapitalizations, growth equity, and manager-led search acquisitions
  • Flexibility: Not all criteria must be met. If you think there might be fit, reach out — we evaluate every situation individually

Deal Structures

How We Can Structure a Deal

Most Common

Full Buyout

We acquire 100% of the business, providing full liquidity to the seller at closing. The seller may stay on in an advisory or transitional role, or exit completely — whichever works best.

Partial Exit

Recapitalization

We acquire a majority stake while the seller retains a minority interest. This structure gives the seller immediate liquidity while allowing them to participate in future value creation.

Growth Capital

Growth Equity

We invest growth capital into an existing business to fund expansion. The owner retains control but gains a financial partner with operational expertise to accelerate growth.
