Kim McDonald has been a partner and investor with Succession Capital Partners (SCP) since 2017. McDonald advises SCP on all technology needs for all of the SCP portfolio companies. Currently, McDonald holds the title of Chief Technology Officer and President of Groundworks University for Groundworks Companies, an SCP company.
Prior to joining SCP, McDonald held the position of Chief Operating Officer for KBH Business Management Systems, a software company that provided a CRM/ERP solution for companies in the foundation services industry.
Before joining KBH in 2006, McDonald owned and operated multiple technology and marketing companies across several industries, including construction, internet marketing and lead generation, and the travel industry.
McDonald graduated from the College of William and Mary, where she had a double major in Economics and Communication.
She was given the distinction of Top 40 Under 40 in Hampton Roads in 2018 in recognition of her leadership and charitable contributions to the community.
